The remuneration package should be competitive, but it should also fit internal relativities and social perceptions. How do we achieve a balanced policy that fits the culture and dynamics of the organisation?

Our approach

Focus Orange works from the perspective that the role of the employer is more than just appointing and rewarding board members. It also concerns mutual cooperation, assessment and development. The basis for a policy that promotes this requires:

  • Insight of the reward culture and structure of the organisation;
  • Analysis of internal pay ratios and relevant external board remuneration data;
  • Identification of the visions of all involved parties;
  • Testing of requirements with respect to legislation, governance code and social perspectives.

We work directly together with the supervisory board and management board members in an interactive process to develop a policy that fits the organisation. We test the policy for explainability and offer assistance in describing and presenting the policy.

Result

An interpretation of the role of the employer with an explainable remuneration policy that is approved by shareholders and accepted by the management board, employees and society. This policy can serve as a base for the remuneration policy for all employees of the organisation.
