Insight into employee preferences

Issue

In a changing society, it is difficult to attract, retain and motivate the right people. A one-size-fits-all rewards package often does not fit the bill anymore. How do you determine which rewards employees consider important?

Our approach

Focus Orange provides insight into the preferences of employees through Preference, a tool we developed ourselves:

  • In consultation with the organisation the question design can be customized;
  • Employees relatively rank hard and soft terms of employment, to start a consideration of the importance of the importance of salary, learning and development or challenging work;
  • The online survey takes on average less than five minutes and is anonymous. Results can be segmented on, for example, age, department, function or education level;
  • Advanced analysis techniques provide detailed insights in specific preferences of employees with different characteristics.

Result

Through Preference we generate predictive insights into employee preferences in Total Rewards elements, at the various levels and parts of the company. This reveals fact-based ‘optimum’ packages for your employees with their specific characteristics and qualifications.
