Shaping human resource strategy

Issue

After the organisational strategy has been turned into concrete consequences for human resources and the organisation, its design and implementation in the various HR components will be (re)allocated. How do we determine the right order and priority? And how do we ensure a consistent implementation in all components?

Our approach

Focus Orange operates as an HR architect in consultation with the HR manager and the team of specialists, and:

  • Lists requirements for HR focus areas including rewards, pension, recruitment, learning and development, and performance management;
  • Assesses the coherence and consistency of the intended (re)development of the programs and processes based on the requirements;
  • Develops an impact analysis of the intended changes in the different programs and processes, in order to prioritize the course of action;
  • Operates as a skilled project manager and HR specialist, facilitating a smooth and broadly supported decision-making process among HR, management and employees.

Result

The HR organisation has a framework for consistent redevelopment and a planning for its implementation at its disposal. The framework offers insights into the way  HR programmes contribute to the realisation of the company strategy, makes the role of HR easier to explain and enables greater support and more involvement.
